Dear Donors,
Thank you so much for your generous donation which aids our mission and gives a child the opportunity to discover the world of education.
We are pleased to share further progress on our projects with our patrons. Bright Kids Foundation is currently devoting its time, resources, passion and love to three projects right now- ‘Project Bright Kids’, ‘School with a difference’ and ‘Khadavali School project’.
It gives us immense joy to inform you about the progress of these projects.
School With A Difference: Bright Kids Foundation launched its first ‘School With A Difference’ (SWD) project in July 2018 at Sangharsh Nagar- a slum rehabilitated area in Powai, Mumbai wherein a group of 10 students between the age group of 4 to 7 years are being imparted quality education, with modern teaching aids to make the learning process fun. We focus on English as this will enable them to have access to better opportunities in life. We have launched a second SWD in September 2018 in another slum area in Powai with 10 students. We constantly visit the children in these schools to review their progress. Every child has an ‘Individual Learning Plan’ based on his/her learning ability. Thus, there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach which typically stresses young minds. Children’s minds are stimulated with puzzles, fun quizzes, coloring books, storytelling, music and dance.
A 3rd school that caters to children in the 7-11 years’ age group has just been started -again in Powai, on Sundays. Children learn Maths and English – but in addition they’re taught health, nutrition, hygiene, moral values (through story telling), dancing (Dance Movement Therapy through a Psychologist) and games. Most children come from troubled homes and hence DMT helps them cope with the stress of living in such environments.
We are in the process of enrolling of some of these kids from SWD batches to a standard English Medium school for the academic year 2019-20
Khadavali School Project: Our project for the year 2018 was to support the construction of a proper school building at Khadavali, a small village on the outskirts of Mumbai in the Thane District. Despite having an incomplete infrastructure, the school run by Sakina Education Trust manages to provide education to over 400 children. Thanks to all your generous donations BKF could form part of a small development by providing 2 lakhs that helped the trust begin the construction of 3 classrooms.
The budget to build the school completely with all amenities and infrastructure is Rs.1 crore. BKF would like to be a part of this mission so that many deserving bright kids of Khadavali can be accommodated in the school.
Project Bright Kids: For academic year 2018 – 19, Bright Kids Foundation has been able to fund an entire academic year of education of 45 children from Mumbai, Chennai, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. We got our first CSR grant of 6 lakhs from CAMS (Computer Age Management Services Pvt. Ltd, Chennai) and all of this would not have been possible without your support and belief in us. We hope we continue to make you proud and give our kids the bright future they deserve. We are aiming to support 100 children for academic year 2019 -2020.
We appreciate your great support and commitment to our cause. We wouldn’t be able to do all the good work without you! The best soldier cannot function without the necessary arms and ammunition – if we’re the soldiers on the ground, you provide us the arms and ammunition – hence we hope to continue to receive your support.

Thank you so much for your generous donation which aids our mission and gives a child their opportunity to discover the world of education.
We are happy to share our first quarter progress with our Patrons. Your contribution & support plays a vital role and helped us support 2 projects – ‘Project Bright Kids’ (PBK) & ‘School With A Difference’ (SWD). However, the work is just beginning!
Project Bright Kids has sponsored 8 children by paying all their school related fees and all other essentials required for the academic year 2018-19.

We plan to provide similar support to another 15-20 children in the third quarter of 2018 under Project Bright Kids.
Bright Kids Foundation launched our first ‘School With A Difference’ (SWD) project at Sangharsh Nagar- a slum rehabilitated area in Powai – Mumbai wherein a group of 10 students in the age group of 4 to 7 years are being taught quality education in a motivational manner. We plan to open 3-5 more centres of SWD at different locations in and around Mumbai during the next few months of 2018.
Our other project for the year is to support construction of a proper school building at Khadavali, a small village on the outskirts of Mumbai in Thane District. It has unfinished school premises already in operation educating 409 children. We would be further obliged if you could share Bright Kids Foundation with your friends / colleagues and request them to support our cause as well.
