Our school drop out rates are very high. Nearly 68% of kids who enroll in Jr Kg drop out by the time they reach 10th standard.

School with a difference (SWD) project was hence devised to give them world-standard infrastructure, innovative teaching mechanisms and where personal coaching and mentoring is regularly rendered. We find it vital to provide children with a good foundation in their education in their early years so they’ll always be curious to learn. In 2018-2019 we set up 2 SWD in different slum areas in Powai, Mumbai.

Though we thought of an innovative and different tutoring and coaching school with our 1st and 2nd SWD (School with a Difference) at our Powai and Sangharsh Nagar locations in Mumbai, we couldn’t materialise it effectively due to scarcity of students and administrative issues. However we found suitable managers, abundant students and project co-ordinators in the Kandivali location and hence we commenced our full-scale SWD work in July 2019.

 
Academic Year 2019-20

Poinsur village located in the suburb of Kandivali East is a low-class residential community of slums spread across 2- 3 Kilometres or more and has an approximate population of 50,000 people. Hence, it was selected as the ideal location so we could find the neediest students and help them. We have 94 students as of 2019-20.

 
Academic Year 2020-21

in AY 20-21 We shifted at Gorai Location.
The new premises have the following additional facilities:
• Library & computer rooms
• Spacious classrooms, staffroom, clean washrooms and clean drinking water facility
• Private area for visitors to interact with staff
• Special area for activities like yoga and dancing

 
Academic Year 2021-22
Continuing in Gorai location with all activities, festivals & events celebrated at regular intervals.

If we make education fun, relevant and stress-free, we are bound to attract more students.
Our vision is to create a school with a difference – pilot this and prove that learning outcomes in such an environment will be much much better than in conventional schools.
